D. Harvey Nokes, age 59, of Brownsville, MD, died on Monday, February 28, 2022, at Chambersburg Hospital, after suffering a heart attack while undergoing cardiac testing.

He was the son of Kay Staubs Jenkins and the late James L. Nokes, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Kay Staubs Jenkins and husband Kenneth Jenkins, Sr. of Charles Town, WV, son, Josh Mentzer, his wife, Chrissy and grandsons, Aiden and Gavin, of Hagerstown, MD,  his brothers, James Nokes, Jr. (Sammy), Ricky Nokes and wife Michele, all of Knoxville, MD, sisters, Kelly Campbell and husband Raymond, of Charles Town, WV, Nicole Stoneberger and husband Jamey, of Martinsburg, WV, Cassandra Thurston, and JoAnn (Jodi) Golden and husband Shannon, of Berkeley Springs, WV, nephews, Brandan Nokes, Brady Longerbeam, Connor and Jonathan Campbell, nieces, Britney Anderson and husband Steven and Chloe' McDaniel and fiance' Christian, special cousins, William Mullenix and wife, Cindy and Holly Vaughn and husband, Rick, his special friends, Kelsey and Diane Grim, sister-in-law, Karen Coates and many other beloved cousins and friends.

In addition to his father, he is also predeceased by his aunt, Sylvia (Fert) Mullenix, nephew, Zachary Nokes, and great nephew Landon Longerbeam.

Harvey was a skilled craftsman, specializing in flooring, roofing and carpentry.  He was very creative and often used his artistic talents to draw personalized cards for his family.  He was very loving, kind, creative and charismatic.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Brownsville Church of the Brethren in Brownsville, MD on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 11:00am, officiated by Pastor Calvin Park.
