Obituary

J. Thomas Dailey, 67, of Harpers Ferry, WV died on Friday, June 3, 2005 at his residence.

He was born May 12, 1938 at Frederick, MD and was the son of the late Jesse S. Dailey, Sr. and Pauline Bodmer Dailey.

He was retired Federal Government Employee with FEMA and owned and operated Jefferson County Monument Sales for 32 years.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U. S. Army.

He was a member and Past Master of Logan Lodge No. 25 A. F. & A. M., Order of Mystic Shrine of Osiris Shrine Temple at Wheeling, Jackson-Perks Post No. 71 of American Legion, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 948, 50 year member of Friendship Fire Co., and former member of Harpers Ferry Town Council.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Joyce Boyer Dailey at home; one son, Keith T. Dailey and wife, Amanda of Charles Town; two grandsons, D. J. Dailey and Kyle Dailey; two step-grandchildren, David Festerman and Christopher Festerman; two nephews, Jay Dailey and wife, Sandy of Bakerton and Jim Dailey of Martinsburg; one niece, Diane McDonough and husband, Billy of Pembroke Grove; one sister-in-law, Shirley Jordan and husband, William of Harpers Ferry; special friend of family, Jennifer L. Dailey of Harpers Ferry and a very special friend "Lady", the family pet.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Jesse S. Dailey, Jr. and grandson, Jesse D. Dailey.

Services will be Monday, June 6, 2005 at 11:00 AM at the Eackles-Spencer Funeral Home at Harpers Ferry, WV with the Revs. Douglas Fraim and Rita Beeman officiating. Interment will be in the St. Peters Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.

Bearers will be Members of Logan Lodge No. 25 A. F. & A. M. and Honorary Bearers will be Jim Dailey, Jay Dailey, Robert Dyke, Wayne Smallwood and Larry Crouse.

All Master Masons are requested to meet at Logan Lodge on Monday at 10 AM.
