Obituary

James Edward Gaynor, 94, of Charles Town, WV passed away May 26, 2024 at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV.

Born January 31, 1930 in Avon Bend, WV, he was the son of the late Nathirel Andrey Gaynor and Abbie Agnes Gray Gaynor.

He was a US Army Paratrooper, serving in the Korean War and a member of Charles Town Baptist Church.

James was a retired truck driver for Can AM Steel in Point of Rocks, MD and had logged over four million miles. One of his loves was a good breakfast.

He is survived by three daughters, Sidney Seibert, Mitzi Wilt and husband, Todd, Sr. and Jamie Warnick and husband Richard, all of Charles Town, one daughter-in-law, Robin Gaynor, seven grandchildren, eleven  great-grandchildren and two sisters-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Vanda Lee in 2014, one son, James "Bo" Gaynor, one sister, Pauline Thomas, and four brothers, Iden, George, Theodore and Roy Gaynor.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 31, 2024 at Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg, WV.

The family will receive friends at the Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home on Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 6-8 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Harpers Ferry/Bolivar District Veterans, P.O. Box 1365, Harpers Ferry, WV 25425
