Obituary

James Lee Milburn, 79, of Charles Town, WV passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at his residence.

Born August 6, 1938 in Brucetown, VA, he was the son of the late Paul Milburn and Della Hamilton Milburn.

He was of the Pentecostal faith.

He was a veteran of the US Army.

Jim and his late wife, Billie owned and operated the local Billie's Restaurant in Ranson for many years, where he still showed up daily for as long as he could get there. In years past, he enjoyed deer hunting with his friends, and traveled the country in his RV with Billie.

He is survived by one stepdaughter, Dorothy Kay Dyke and husband, Robert of Charles Town, WV; two stepsons, Perry Dunlap of South Carolina and Chris Dunlap and wife, Linda of South Carolina; two sisters, Linda Housden and Catherine Combs and husband, Vernon; one brother, Charles Milburn and wife Dora, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, friend, Charlene Freese and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 34 years, Billie in 2006; two sisters, Mary Lou Chrisman and Shirley Robinson and two brothers, Allen and Paul Milburn, Jr.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Rev. John Unger officiating.

Interment will be in Edge Hill Cemetery in Charles Town, WV.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6-8pm.

The family wishes to thank the personnel and caregivers at the VA Medical Center in Martinsburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a veteran's organization of one's choice.
