James ‘Jim” Alexander Walker, 89, of Harpers Ferry, WV passed away Saturday, June 6, 2026 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility in Kearneysville, WV.

Born February 21, 1937 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late James Alexander Walker , and Doyette Smith Hall.

He was of the Christian faith. Jim passed away on his 51st anniversary of being ‘Born Again”.

He loved to share stories of his life with those he mentored.

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Anna, two daughters, Katherine Meier and husband, Kevin and Loretta Weaver, one son, James A. Walker and wife, Marni, 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Nina Walker and Cynthia Harvey.
