James Robert Wilhelm, Jr., 67, of Ranson, WV passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the

Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility in Kearneysville, WV.

Born November 9, 1953 in Cockeysville, MD, he was the son of James Wilhelm, Sr. and Ella Mae Turnbaugh Wilhelm.

He was of the Christian faith.

Jimmy worked at Charles Town Racetrack for over 40 years, for David Walters (Boss) Racing Stable. He and Brenda ran the Charles Town Track Kitchen for the past three years.

He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 948 in Charles Town, WV.

Jimmy was a loving father and devoted husband and a friend to all he met.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Brenda, at home; two daughters, Ashley D. Wilhelm, at home and Jamie N. Wilson and husband, James Patrick, at home; his parents, James and Ella Mae Wilhelm, one sister, Bertha Mae Wilhelm, four brothers, William, Barry, Charles and David Wilhelm, two brothers-in-law, Donald L. Carey and wife, Kim and David L. Carey and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Dr. Henry Christie officiating. Interment will follow in Edge Hill Cemetery in Charles Town, WV.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-8 pm.
