Jane Elizabeth Groves, 95, of Charles Town, WV passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024 at her residence.

Born August 22, 1928 in Brunswick, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late William Franklin Oden and Bertha Hammond Oden.

She was a member of the Charles Town Presbyterian Church. Jane was a member of the American Legion in Brunswick, MD and also a lifetime member of the VFW in Charles Town, WV.

She is survived by her companion, Junior Weatherholtz, her daughter, Monda Fahsholtz, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Shirley "Chuck" Douglas Groves in 1991, one brother, Howard Oden and two sisters, Ruby Reed and Frances Darr.

Jane was a loving kind-hearted soul that enjoyed everybody that she meet.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Rev. John Bethard officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Paul's Episcopal Church Cemetery in Point of Rocks, MD

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
