Jay Patricia Roelkey, 91, of Knoxville, MD, passed away Monday, July 1, 2024 at her residence.

Born November 8, 1932 in Middletown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Charles Minnick and Irene Baker Minnick.

She was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Harrison and husband, Donny ,and Patti Ayers and husband, Tommy,  two sons, Albert "Rick" Roelkey and wife, Cathie and Charles "Punk" Roelkey and wife, Linda, all of Knoxville, MD, three grandsons, Justin Harrison and wife, Zaneta, Jamie Ayers and wife, April,  and  Rick Roelkey, one great grandson, Lucas, one step great grandson, Xaven Brunell, three sisters, Kitty Lydard, Connie Harman and Bonnie Jackson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Albert Richard Roelkey in 2011, five sisters, Ann Holder, Helen Brandenburg, Dot Himes, Geneva Eichelburger and Evelyn House and six brothers, Pete, Vernon "Bud", Jim, Dave, Dick and Ronnie Minnick.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 5, 2024 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Pastor Clayton Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Frederick, MD.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, July 4, 2024 from 6-8 pm.
