Jay Lewis Vance, Sr. 53, of Martinsburg, WV passed away Monday, October 30, 2023 at  Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility in Kearneysville, WV.

Born September 14, 1970 in Martinsburg, WV, he was the son of William Miller Vance and Patricia Ann Lewis Sturman.

He was of the Catholic faith.

Jay was a great mechanic, carpenter, electrician and all around handyman.

Jay loved the Lord and never knew a stranger.

He is survived by his mother and step-father,  Patricia and Harry Sturman of Martinsburg, WV; two sons, Jay Lewis Vance, II of Inwood, WV and Brody Allen Farnsworth of Chincoteague, VA, brother, William Miller Vance, Jr., three step-sisters, Sherry Sturman, Dianne Gonzales and Denise Sturman and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
