Jeanne Feaster Noel, 98, of Gaithersburg MD passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025, while in hospice care at her daughter's residence in Charles Town, WV.

Born December 12, 1926, in Piedmont, WV, she was the daughter of the late James Henry Feaster and Hattie (Hewes Cross) Feaster.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Earl Alpheous Noel, Jr. of 43 years. In addition, she is preceded in death by her brother Dr. James Henry Feaster, Jr., and sister-in-law Doris (Gerwig) Feaster of Oakland MD, and her son-in-law Forest Edwin Morrison, Jr. of Woodbridge VA.

She is survived by her children William Earl Noel and his wife Hewan Tomlinson of Upper Marlboro MD, and Elizabeth Noel Morrison of Charles Town WV, and grandchildren Mary Hart-Schulze and husband Stefan Schulze, Carin Elizabeth Hart and husband Joshua Hart, Matthew Lee Morrison, Samuel Noel and Valarie Noel, Christian William Noel and wife Brittany Noel, and her great grandson George Raymond Brewster, III and many nieces and nephews.

She was a member and elder of Darnestown Presbyterian Church in MD, and a lifetime member of the Presbyterian Women. She and her husband Earl, also an elder there, have their headstone in the church's cemetery. She administered the cemetery for many years.

She attended Potomac State and earned her master's at West Virginia University. She was an avid knitter and quilter. She was a retired math, algebra and geometry teacher. Her humor and wisdom will be remembered fondly. She was loved deeply and will be missed.

The family is planning a private gathering to celebrate her life.
