Jerry Wayne
Milbourne
February 8, 1953 – December 14, 2024
Jerry Wayne Milbourne, 71, of Harpers Ferry, WV, passed into his heavenly home on Saturday, December 14, 2024.
He was the youngest of ten children born to Louie Milbourne and Georgie Milbourne Brown on February 8, 1953.
Jerry grew up in Loudoun County and lived in Lincoln, Purcellville and Hamilton for the first thirty years of his life. Jerry worked as a floor refinisher and in the heating and air conditioning business for many years. However, it was his job as a mechanical inspector for Loudoun County that he was most proud of and from which he retired in 2018 after 18 ½ years of service.
Jerry was a simple and kind man, had a unique sense of humor, and enjoyed watching his western shows. He really enjoyed football and was devoted to the Redskins (in spite of the name change) and was very happy they were having a good season.
Above all, Jerry loved his family. He was married for 52 years to his wife, Susan, and together they raised a daughter, Karen. Karen married Mike Weller who became the son he never had. He watched his grandsons, Jordan, Logan, Caleb and Nathan grow, get married and give him granddaughters Kota and Deidra, and was now enjoying his great-grandchildren, Logan, Chandler and Arden.
Jerry is also survived by a sister, Ada Kranenburg, sister-in-law, Joann Milbourne, his nephew, Mike Milbourne, with whom he had a special bond, along with many other nieces and nephews he loved.
His family will honor his wishes for no funeral service and his interment at Lakeview Cemetery in Hamilton will be held at a later date.
