Joan "Louise" Magaha, 81, of Ranson, WV passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Hospice of the Panhandle in Kearneysville, WV.
Born May 26, 1938 in Charles Town, WV, she was the daughter of the late Virginia Hanna Braithwaite and stepfather, Max Braithwaite.
She was a graduate of Musselman High School, Inwood, WV.
She retired from Merkle, RMG in Hagerstown, MD.
Of the Christian faith; she was a member of Leetown United Methodist Church.
She was a longtime member of the Citizens Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and the Leetown United Methodist Women's Auxiliary.
She is survived by one Son, Todd Magaha and wife, Tina, of Hamilton, VA; one granddaughter, Lyndsi Butler of Leesburg, one step-granddaughter, Brittany Williams and husband Byron of Leesburg VA, one step-grandson, Derrick Rowe and wife Brittany of Harvest, AL, one great-grandson, Kaiden, nine step-great grandchildren, Kylie, Rachel, Marisah, Lily, Nina, Brooklynn, Saoirse, Chloey and Tanner. Two Brothers, Marty Braithwaite and companion, Peach, of Hedgesville, WV, and Curtis Braithwaite and companion, Corrine, of Bunker Hill, WV; Three Sisters, Beverly "Bev" Dawson and husband Donnie of Middleway, WV, Noma Jean Canterbury and husband Virgil of Union, WV, and Nancy Ouimette and husband George of Martinsburg, WV. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews whom she loved very much.
Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Rev. Debbie Mooney officiating.
Interment will be in Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 27, 2019 from 6-8 pm.
