John "Michael" Gerard Spuria, 61, of Charles Town, WV passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, at home.

Born on April 27, 1964, in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Angela Spuria.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Lori, at home; daughter, Jill Spuria (Jason Jones); son, Michael Spuria (Sarah Hogeback); sister, Lilly Spuria; brother, Joe Spuria and wife, Julie; faithful K-9 companion, Nala; numerous cousins and extended family.

John was a wonderful husband and father.  He spent his entire career as an aerospace engineer in the DMV area and will be forever missed by his family and friends.

John was an avid fan of all New England sports teams and would often attend games in-person with his family and friends.  He spent time between their home in Charles Town, WV and 2nd home in the St. Petersburg, FL area where he loved to run on the beach and play softball for the Gulfport Boomerangs.  John had a life-long interest in astronomy and was always looking to the stars.  His love for music was a deep one. You would often find him working in his pool cabana cranking vintage AC/DC and Led Zeppelin or chilling by the firepit in his backyard with family and friends, listening to bluegrass. He loved waking up early to walk his dog, Nala, around the neighborhood. He was a hard-working man who would do anything for his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jean and Frank Richardson.

Services will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 3:00 P.M., at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV.

The family will receive friends two hours prior to funeral at the funeral home.
