John Wesley Mahoney, 66, of Charles Town, WV passed away  Friday, May 29, 2020 at his residence.

Born July 8, 1953 in Martinsburg, WV, he was the son of and Margret Mahoney.

John was retired from William A. Hazel Co. after 31 years of service and a member of Mannings Assembly of God Church.

He was a fisher, woodmaker and also an avid NASCAR, Redskins, Orioles and Mountaineer fan. He loved his family and was devoted to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Alice Linda Mahoney, at home; two sons, Brent Jenkins and wife, Denise of Charles Town and Todd Jenkins of Charles Town; six grandchildren, Blake W. Jenkins, Cory Ledford, Logan McIntyre, Brennen Jenkins, Jacob Jenkins and Bobby Howell, eight great-grandchildren, three sisters, Barbara Popkins-Smith, Karen "Suzie" Burroughs and Susanne Coulter, one brother, George "Billy" Mahoney and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Lou Penwell and Rebecca Ann Ashby and two brothers, Wendall "Butch" Mahoney and Robert "Bobby" Mahoney.

Services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home. 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Pastor Stephen Lewis officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg, WV.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7-9 pm.
