John Crouse Marscher, 86, of Harpers Ferry, WV went to be home with the Lord Friday, May 14, 2021 at his residence.

Born June 30, 1934 in Syracuse, NY, he was the son of the late Ransford and Marie Marscher.

He was a veteran of the US Air Force.

John was a graduate of New Hartford High School and had various degrees from several colleges. He retired as a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.

John was President of the Jefferson County Little League for many years in the 1990's before moving on to the District 6 Little League.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Virginia, at home; two daughters, Jennifer Williams and husband, Dave and Debbie Walden; three grandsons, Aaron Winters, Brad Williams and Casey Williams, and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joanne Proctor, his son, David Marscher and one grandson, Chad Walden.

The family would like to thank Hospice of the Panhandle of WV for their care of John.

Services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Bakerton Methodist Church with Rev. Scott Sassaman officiating.
