John Wiley Presley, 71, of Harpers Ferry, WV, departed this life on Sunday, September, 12, 2021 at Reston Hospital in Reston, VA.

He was born in Jenkinjones, WV on June 1, 1950, to the late James Louie and Bessie Jones Presley.  He attended schools: Jenkinjones Elementary, Anawalt Jr. High, and Gary High School where he graduated from in 1967.  Following graduation, he attended Bluefield State College, and then decided to join the United States Air Force where he served for 4 years and was honorably discharged in 1972.  He then relocated to the Northern Virginia area where he became employed with the Department of the Navy as a Boiler Plant Supervisor.  After 26 years of service, he retired in 2010.  In addition, John was also a retired member of Steamfitters Local Union 602. After retirement, he enjoyed hitting the golf course to improve his swing, taking pictures, planning and attending Reunions, but most of all, spending time with his family.

He is survived by his three loving children: Daughter, Cassie Presley and fiancé, Nick Wallace, and two Sons: Cole Presley and wife, Ruth Ann, and, Cameron Presley.  Additional survivors include: Brother, Charlie (Vicki) Presley, Sisters: Nan (Paul) Mitchem, Eleanor Mohler, and Nancy Pruitt, Sister-in-Law, Susan Webb Presley (James Louie, Jr. ("Son"), four Grandchildren: Miyah, Zuri, Raen and Aaron, two nephews, four nieces, three great nephews, and four great nieces.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Brothers: James Louie, Jr. ("Son"), and Dan, and Brother-in-Law, Vaughn Dean Pruitt.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 11:00AM at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8pm.
