Jonah Vaughn Frownfelter, 22, of Shepherdstown, WV, went home to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ on May 1, 2026.

Born December 1, 2003 , in Jacksonville, FL, he was the son of Keith E. Frownfelter, Jr. and Brenda J. (Bond) Frownfelter, of Shepherdstown, WV.

He graduated from high school in 2022, and attended Covenant Baptist Church, Shepherdstown WV.

At a very early age Jonah had an entrepreneurial spirit and began setting up “small business ventures” selling various items from flavored ice to hand-carved hiking sticks that were sold at a local store. He also enjoyed cooking for friends and family and often talked about becoming a chef. Jonah was artistic and enjoyed outdoor activities. He loved fishing, swimming, camping, campfires, and sunsets.

Jonah loved deeply and was deeply loved by his family and friends.

Surviving, along with his parents and grandparents, are one sister, Sarah Elise Frownfelter of Turtle Creek, PA; one brother, Levi J’Anthony (LJ) Frownfelter, of Shepherdstown, WV; two nephews, Malakai James Frownfelter, of Shepherdstown, WV and Jahmir Isaiah Vaughn Frownfelter, of Turtle Creek, PA.

Services will be held on June 6, 2026, at 1:00 P.M., at Covenant Church, 7485 Shepherdstown Pike, WV.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harmony Ridge Recovery Center , Walker, WV or Peace Valley Recovery, Doylestown, PA.
