Judith Anne Dickerson, 78, of The Villages, Florida, formerly of Bakerton, West Virginia, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born June 1, 1944, in Wheeling, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert C. Shepherd and Mary Dolores Greenwood Shepherd.  She attended The Roman Catholic Parish of St. James the Greater in Charles Town, West Virginia and St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in The Villages, Florida.

A few of her greatest enjoyments were raising many litters of Akita puppies, reading, bowling, traveling, spending time with her dog Trooper, and floating in her pool.

She is survived by sons; Kenneth Mazer (Laura) of Harpers Ferry, WV, Gregory Mazer (Elizabeth) of Martinsburg, WV; stepchildren, Tina Shorter (Glenn), Craig Dickerson (Jennifer), Keith Dickerson (Kristina); two grandsons Tyler Mazer (Rebecca), Jarod Mazer (Cassidy); step grandchildren, Stacy Cannon (Jared), Linda Howard (Sam), Ashley Ryan (Matthew), Shane Shorter, Austin Shorter, Grace Dickerson, Grant Dickerson; numerous great grandchildren. Five Sisters, Renee Mattison (Steve), Theresa Adkins (Skip), Cathy Bartlett, Margaret Moore (Scott), Mary Lou Furby (David) and five brothers G. Thomas Shepherd, Kevin Shepherd, Joseph Shepherd (Lee), Timothy Shepherd (Deb), Christopher Shepherd (Shirley) and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Dickerson, stepson Scott Dickerson and first husband George Mazer Jr.

A memorial service will be held on April 22, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at the Mt Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling, WV. A graveside internment will follow immediately afterwards.
