October 20, 1947 – September 25, 2024
Julian Robinson Lesh, age 76, passed away on September 25, 2024, in Shepherdstown West Virginia after a lengthy battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.
The son of James A. Lesh and Georgia Parvis Robinson Lesh, Julian was born on October 20, 1947. He and his older brother David Allyn Lesh grew up as typical suburban baby boomers loving Rock-and-Roll music and sports.
A 1965 Graduate of Catonsville High School, Julian was a proud veteran having served in the United States Navy from 1966 until 1970. During his service he completed one tour in Vietnam aboard the USS Sanctuary and the remainder of his time stationed out of Norfolk Naval Station aboard the USS Vulcan.
After a brief stint with the C&P Telephone Company, Julian worked for the Xerox Corporation from 1972 until retirement in 1998. Married to Sandra (Sandy) Leigh Cook Lesh in 1969, until Sandra's passing in 2014, Julian was a loving husband. He and Sandy enjoyed traveling the globe visiting multiple countries and across the United States. Memorable trips to China, Greece, and numerous visits to England occupied their retirement years. Julian was a lover of model trains and worked tirelessly on his hobby. Julian was a devoted father to Bruce Allyn Lesh and Ami Nicole Lesh Snow and loving grandfather to Ryan Allyn Lesh. He loved time with family watching the Orioles and Ravens, celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas with his daughter in law, Christine Cassidy Lesh and son in law, Chrsitopher Snow.
A private family burial will be held in Cecilton, Maryland. Donations in his name can be made to the World Central Kitchen or the Special Olympics.
