Karen Hawthorne Glascock, 62, of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia passed away on July 25, 2022 after a fierce battle with illness.

She was preceded in death by her father Eugene A. Hawthorne, and mother Judith J. Ashcraft.

She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Kim Glascock; brother, Paxton Hawthorne; sister, Marilee Weikel; nieces, Hannah Hawthorne and Sally Creekmore.

Karen attended North Cross School and graduated from Radford University. Karen touched many lives through her 35 year teaching career with Washington County Maryland Public Schools.

Karen enjoyed many hobbies including making jewelry, gardening daylilies and cross stitching. She left behind 4 cairn terriers.

Karen loved all animals so in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local animal shelter or The Nature Conservancy.

The memorial service has been postponed due to current conditions.
