Katherine A. “Kay” Pullen, 78, of Orchard Hills in Ranson, West Virginia, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, September 18, 2026.

Born May 15, 1948, in Charles Town, West Virginia, Kay was the daughter of the late William and Katharine (Fleming) Martin.

Kay worked at DALB Inc. in Kearneysville for 39 years, where she formed many lasting friendships that she treasured throughout her life. She was deeply grateful for the blessings and miracles God brought into her life.

Kay found joy in the simple and beautiful things around her. She loved nature, from the woods to time spent at the beach. She enjoyed traveling and vacations, watching movies, celebrating all holidays, listening to good music, and dancing. Above all else, Kay loved her family. Her children and grandchildren were a tremendous source of happiness and pride, and the time she shared with them meant more to her than anything.

She is survived by her two sons, Philip Leedy Pullen Jr. and his wife, Rachel, of Chantilly, Virginia, and Kyle Sheridan Pullen and his wife, Bonnie, of Charles Town, West Virginia; and four beloved grandchildren, Aubrey G. Pullen (15), Luke T. Pullen (12), Parker B. Pullen (6), and Chase S. Pullen (1).

Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Leedy Pullen Sr., who passed away on February 23, 1987, and her sister, Mary Martin Bussard.

A Funeral Service will be held on October 1, 2026, at 7:00 P.M., at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV, with Pastor Joel Rainey officiating.

The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service, at 5:00 P.M., October 1, 2026, at the funeral home.

A graveside service, open to family and friends, will be held October 2, 2026, at 10:00 A.M., at Pleasant View memory Gardens, 2938 Charles Town Road, Kearneysville, WV 25430.

Kay will be remembered for her faith, her appreciation for life’s blessings, the friendships she cultivated over the years, and, most especially, the love she had for her family. Her memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
