Keith Marcel Brown, the beloved son of Elder Marcel N. Brown and Missionary Elizabeth Brown, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 29, 2024 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, at the age of 60.

Keith received his education in Jefferson County, West Virginia.

He was employed by T&T Enterprises in Rocky Mount, NC.

Keith's devotion to the Lord was unwavering, and he nurtured his relationship with Christ daily. He exemplified true servanthood and held close to his heart the scripture from 1st Timothy 5:3, "Honor widows that are widows indeed." Among the widows he cared for were Sis. Catherine Cook, his paternal grandmother, Missionary Florence Brown and his aunt, Sis. Alice Sims.

Keith served in the United States Army, stationed at Fort Ord Army Post, situated on Monterey Bay in California.

Keith is survived by his parents, Elder Marcel and Missionary Liz Brown, who will hold his memory dear, his beloved son, Marcel Keith Brown, (also known as Buddy), who embodies his namesake, his heartbeat and his legacy. Additionally, he is survived by his sisters, Gail A. King (Michael), Donna L. Brown St. John (Dennis, deceased), his brother, Vincent L. Brown, his God-Mother, Lorraine Manuel, and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews great nieces, and nephews and friends.  Among those who mourn his passing are his former spouse, Rhonda Brown, the mother of his son, and his former spouse Ruby Settles.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Deacon William N. and Missionary Florence B. Brown, maternal grandparents, Brother James H. and Sister Lydia A. Smith.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg, WV
