Kenneth Millard Mills, 80, of Kearneysville, WV passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Jefferson Medical Center in Ranson, WV.

Born March 13, 1942 in Halltown, WV, he was the son of the late Paul Dante Mills and Virginia Hindman Mills.

He was of the Christian faith and a veteran of the US Air Force.

Kenny began his career in law enforcement in 1966, making him a 57 year veteran of law enforcement in Jefferson County. He began his tenure in Ranson, later to Charles Town and finishing a 51 year duty with the Jefferson County Sheriffs Office, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Judith Shirley Mills, at home; two daughters, Renee Mills Smith and husband, Syd of Charles Town, WV, Julie Mills Cox and husband, Steve of Summit Point, WV, one son, Ronald "Danny" Dante Mills and wife, Kim Caniford-Mills, four grandchildren, Sam, Breanna, Daniel, and Addison and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul D. Mills and Wayne C. Mills.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 20. 2023 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Rev. Ben Williams officiating.

The family will receive friends three hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
