Lester "Scotty" Gary Johnson, 84, of  Ranson, WV passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility in Kearneysville, WV.

Born August 20, 1937 in Millville, WV, he was the son of the late Lester Grant Johnson and Camelia Ranalli Johnson.

He was a veteran of the US Marines, serving from 1958-1960.

Scotty retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company after 20 years of service.

Scotty was a member of Shenandoah Memorial United Methodist Church in Millville. He was a graduate of Harpers Ferry High School, Class of 1957 and a member of the Harpers Ferry/Bolivar District Veterans.

He loved fast pitch softball and played in many leagues throughout the area.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Donna, at home; one daughter, Denise Martinez and Jay Lewis of Charles Town, and two grandsons, Dylan and Dalton, who were his best pals.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV

with Pastor Mary Ball officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV  25430.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home an hour and a half prior to the service.
