Linde Petersen, 91, of Shepherdstown, WV passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV.

Born October 18, 1934 in Heidelberg, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Karl Bluml and Rosa Emma Obenland Bluml.

Linde met her husband, David Petersen, when he served as an MP in Germany.

She is survived by her children, Robert (Lynn), Kimberly (Larry), Cynthia (Doug), Erik (Julie) and Leif (Shelly), 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Roxie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David.

Services will be held at a later date.
