Lorraine Snoots-Williams, age 95, formally of Brunswick, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 9th 2024 at Tranquillity at Fredericktowne after spending the previous afternoon, lovingly, with family.
Born on December 10, 1928, Lorraine was the daughter to the late Franklin "Frank" and Ollie Snoots, and wife of her late husband, Noel D. Williams. She was the oldest of three children.
A graduate of Brunswick High School, Lorraine continued on to be a hairdresser at Milady Hair Dressers. She was a devoted member of the Faith Baptist Church in Jefferson where she became a choir member. Lorraine was a great mother and grandmother and will be remembered by many for her faith, unconditional love and kindness towards others. She enjoyed gardening, family gatherings, and many family traditions including making homemade root beer that dates back over 100 years.
Lorraine is survived by her five sons, William "Frank" Williams and wife Patricia of Brunswick, David Williams and wife Jennifer of Charles Town, WV, Clay Williams and wife Breena of Brunswick, Andrew Williams and wife Mary Anne of Keedysville, Noel Williams and wife Brenda of Harpers Ferry, and 11 grandchildren, Kim Dornberger, Chad Athey, Aaron Winters, Brad Williams, Zachary Williams, Rusty Williams, Chelsea Witt, Casey Williams, Kayla Williams-Leitzel, Hunter Williams, Colby Williams. She will also be remembered by many wonderful nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, and dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her brother Douglas H. Snoots, sister Linda D. Bowman, and grandson Franklin Williams.
Lorraine lived her life by scripture 1 Corinthians 16:14 "Let all that you do be done in love".
Visitation: The family will receive friends and family at the Faith Baptist Church on Saturday, January 20, 2023 at 11:00am for a memorial. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Faith Baptist Church, 2212 Jefferson Pike, Knoxville, MD.
