Louis John Hertelendy, 81, of Charles Town, WV, died Sunday July 1, 2007 at the Winchester Medical Center at Winchester, VA.
He was born December 29, 1925 at Cleveland, Ohio and was the son of the late James Hertelendy and Roza Torro Hertelendy.
He was a retired meat cutter.
He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Marine Corps.
He attended the Crums United Methodist Church at Berryville, VA.
He loved hunting, racing and NASCAR.
He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Johnson and Deborah Compondu both of Cleveland, OH; four sons, Denis Hertelendy of Cleveland, OH, Kenneth Hertelendy and John Hertelendy both of Charles Town, WV and Michael Hertelendy of Phoenix, AZ; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret France Hertelendy.
Services will be held on Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at 5:00 PM at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, US 340 at Halltown Road, Charles Town/Harpers Ferry, WV with the Pastor Hyo Lee officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, three hours prior to the services.
