Louis William Robinson, Sr., 83, of Harpers Ferry, WV passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024 at his residence.

Born January 11, 1941 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Hugh Douglas Robinson and Violet Clifton Robinson.

He was of the Roman Catholic faith.

He was a veteran serving in the US Marines. He was a retired detective with the US Park Police with 18 years of service and an avid hunter.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mary, at home, two daughters, Diane Robinson and spouse, Bonnie Ott and JoAnn Jordan and husband, George, two sons, Louis William Robinson, Jr. and wife, Erika and Todd Robinson and fiancé, Diana, five grandchildren, Megan, Elizabeth, Holland, Emily and David, two great grandchildren, Parker and Audrey, one sister, Margaret Krug and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Hugh D. Robinson, Jr. and one sister, Irene Schultz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 2, 2024 at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, 49 Crosswinds Drive, Charles Town, WV with Father Timothy Grassi as the Celebrant, assisted by Deacon David Galvin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Parkinson's or the American Cancer Society.
