Lucy Arena Rutherford, 91, of Harpers Ferry, WV passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Shenandoah Center in Charles Town, WV.

Born March 18, 1933 in Brunswick, MD, she was the daughter of Herbert Malcomb Wenner and Bessie Marie Grove Wenner.

She was a long time member of Bolivar United Methodist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Susan Pierson and husband, Calvin of Charles Town, WV, two sons, Randy T. Rutherford and companion, Diane of Kearneysville, WV and Johnny Rutherford and wife, Jane of Harpers Ferry, five grandchildren, Marc, Jason, Adam, Briana and Zach, three great grandchildren, Jaydon, Brody and Kai and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Marcus John Rutherford, Sr. and one sister, Betty "Dodie "Staubs and two brothers, Herb "Bubby" Wenner and Lawrence Wenner.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Fairview Lutheran Cemetery in Bolivar, WV.
