Mabel Ellen Badger, 75, of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021 at home surrounded by her husband and children.

Born May 31, 1946 in Yuba City, California, she was the daughter of late Arthur and Grace Yank Morrissey.

Mabel was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Harpers Ferry Ward.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years Arthur; eight daughters, Kathryn Roode, Khristine Offutt, Karen Marroquin, Heather Volkmann, Holly Meza, Jennifer Donaldson, Stephanie Hoyle and Sarah Badger; one son Arthur Badger Jr.; two brothers, Richard and James Morrissey; 37 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mabel was preceded in death by one brother, Arthur Morrissey Jr.

Mabel's life was truly spent in the service of those around her. She provided love and kindness indiscriminately. She served with gusto, a tune on her lips, and pep in her step. She strived to bring joy where there was despair and light where there was darkness. She chose to share her talents with alacrity letting her gifts from God shine brightly. Walking through this world my mother left a wake filled with lives of others that we're irrevocably changed for the better. The lives she touched would bloom and grow like wildflowers blooming in the desert after the rain. For those who were touched by her love, we will stand as testaments of her life's work of service shining brightly with the light she helped us grow.

Services will be held Saturday, December 18, 2021 11:00am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 343 Carriage Drive, Harpers Ferry, WV, with Bishop McCune officiating.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 17, 2021 from 6-8pm at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV.
