Mae E. Kearns, 84, of Middleway, passed away at her residence on September 29, 2021.  Mae was born on April 15, 1937 and grew up on a farm in Jefferson County, WV.

She attended Middleway United Methodist Church where she was affectionately known as "The Cookie Lady" during Vacation Bible School.  Mae was also involved in other community activities, such as Jefferson County Community Ministries, and a volunteer at American Red Cross blood drives.

Mae is survived by her sister, Mary Ann Gardner, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and her loving church family.

In addition to her parents, the late George Hough and Mary Barron Hough, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Pittman Kearns.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021, 11 AM at the Middleway Masonic Cemetery with Pastor Scott Sassaman officiating.
