Maria "Missie" Arcuri, born in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, on September 1, 1962, passed away on April 15, 2025. Missie was truly one of a kind-a force of nature with an electric spirit, an infectious laugh, a golden smile, and a razor-sharp wit. Her warmth, energy and joy lit up every room she entered, and her vibrant personality left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Missie was a devoted mother, a caring sister, a proud aunt and a beloved friend. She embraced life with passion and generosity, and she will be remembered not only for her humor and strength but also for the love she poured into her relationships.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Jackson and her father, Millard Dotson.

Missie is survived by her daughter, Laura Elizabeth Banks of Los Angeles, CA, her siblings, Donna Malone and husband, Tom of Bowie, MD; Darrell Allen of Charles Town, WV; Bonnie Twyman and husband, Robert of Germantown, MD; Tracy Jackson of Frederick, MD; Kevin Dotson of Charles Town, WV; Vivian Slaughter and husband, Kelvin of Laurel, MD; and Leah Jackson of Conyers, GA. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who loved and adored her immensely.

Her legacy of laughter, love, and light lives on in the hearts of all her knew her.
