Obituary

Marshall Gene Barron, 82, of Charles Town, WV passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility in Kearneysville, WV.

Born July 17, 1941 in Charles Town, WV, he was the son of the late Marshall Albert Barron and Eva Landers Barron.

He was of the Pentecostal faith.

Marshall was a retired crane operator for C.W. Wright Construction with over 40 years of service. He was a member of the Chares Town Moose Lodge No. 948.

He loved to fish and garden and was an avid tractor puller.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 54 years, Sandy Miller Barron, at home, two daughters, Nika Barron and Tammy Bowling, five sons, Rick Barron, Marty Barron, Danny Barron, James "Jimmy" Barron and Kevin Barron, 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, one brother, Dennis A. Barron and his faithful feline companion, Babe.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Misty Barron, one sister, Linda Corbin and feline companion, Daisy.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Rev. John Mayden officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Lutheran Cemetery in Bolivar, WV.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, February 5, 2024  from 6-8 pm.
