Marshall Eugene Kerns, 87, of Halltown, WV passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at his residence.

Born January 31, 1934 in Harpers Ferry, WV, he was the son of the late Thomas Marshall Kerns and Rhoda Painter Kerns.

He was a member of Merrill Hill United Methodist Church.

Marshall owned and operated Kerns Automotive for 44 years.  He was an avid gardener and a meticulous lawn keeper.

He is survived by two daughters, Marsha Hardman and husband, Larry of Fairfield, PA and Lisa Pressutti and husband, Reggie of Augusta, WV; one son, Jay C. Kerns of Martinsburg, WV; six grandchildren, Robert "Robbie" Jones, Ronald "Ron" Kerns,  Aaron Kerns, Jessica "Jessi" Wilfong, Ryan Kerns, Cody Kackley; five great-grandchildren, Zach Spy's, Ashton Kerns, Laylah Kerns, Carter Jones, Jenna Jones and one sister, Charlotte Beahm.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty C. Kerns in 2004, one son, Kevin L. Kerns and one brother, James Kerns.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg, WV.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 pm.
