Mary Margaret Hoover, 73, of Charles Town, WV passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at her home.

Born December 19, 1950 in Salem, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Marguerite Fahrner, and was a member of the Roman Catholic Parish of Saint James the Greater.

Mary, known lovingly as Meme, was a bright light who was adored by all who knew her. She was happiest in the presence of her children, grandchildren and the numerous extended family and friends who filled her life with joy.

She is survived by her three daughters, Christine Ohm and husband, Christopher, Megan Meade and husband, Christopher, Kelly Daly and husband, Aaron; one son, George "Baby Duke" Hoover and wife, Caroline; thirteen grandchildren, Haelly, Kendall, Kali, Colin, Alyza, Hannah, Charlie, Tyler, Myles, Karly, Eli, Dylan, Brennon; one sister, Jane Hunter; two brothers, Jack Fahrner and Jim Conrad.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, George in 2015; and one brother, Michael Conrad.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Saint James Catholic Church, 49 Crosswinds Drive, Charles Town, WV, with Father Grassi as Celebrant, assisted by Deacon Dave Galvin.

Interment will follow at Saint Peter's Cemetery in Harpers Ferry, WV.

Family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to Mass, with a Rosary at 10:30 A.M.
