Mary Agnes Leopold, 92, of Charles Town, WV passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Montevue Assisted Living in Frederick, MD

Born May 10, 1925 in Neersville, VA, she was the daughter of the late George Washington Pomeroy and Ethel Edwards Pomeroy.

Mary was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Knoxville, MD and also attended the Church of the Nazarene in Neersville, VA.

She was retired from Dulles Airport with the FAA.

Mary was a member of the American Legion Post No. 96, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 1136, Moose Lodge No. 660, Pithian Sisters and Improved Order of Red Men, all of Brunswick, MD.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Mary's extended family at Montevue and the Hospice team.

She is survived by three daughters, Sandra Violet and husband, Robert of Hagerstown, MD; Karen Hoffman of Knoxville, MD and Cindy Creamer and husband, Rusty of Charles Town, WV; nine grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, step grandchildren and step great  grandchildren and daughter-in-law, Freda Leopold of Knoxville, MD.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Leopold, Sr. in 1991, one son, Charles W. Leopold, Jr. in 2005, two brothers, Melford and Spencer Pomeroy and one great-great granddaughter.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Rev. Charles R. Holder officiating. Interment will be in Reformed Cemetery in Knoxville, MD.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. and one hour prior to the service.
