Mary Bess Shaffer, 59, of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia passed away Sunday, December 25, 2022 at her home.

She was born December 16, 1963 in York, Pennsylvania and was the daughter of Elgia James Myers, Jr. and Angela Theresa Nicholson.

Mary was a graduate of Spring Grove High School Class of 1982. She was an administrative assistant for Long Fence Company for 25 years. She enjoyed time at the beach, and with family and friends. Mary especially loved her dogs.

She is survived by her loving husband, Martin Shaffer at home; son, Shawn Shaffer, two grandchildren, Briana and Damien; one sister, Gina Collier; one brother, Richard McCommon; mother, Angela Gift; father Elgia Myers and step-mother Susan Myers; step-brother, Larry Stambaugh; step-sister, Sherry Brighman as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation only Friday, January 6, 2022 from 5-8 pm at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV.
