Mary Louise Urquhart, 96, of Harpers Ferry, WV passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at her residence.

Born May 19, 1927 in Portsmouth, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Alva Edward Curry and Zola May Evans Curry.

She was of the Christian faith.

Mary loved to create paintings, especially of Christian motif, and was very devoted to her faith. She taught Bible studies and Sunday School and sang often at church. She loved Jesus and made the church her life.

She is survived by one daughter, Randy R. Smythe and husband, Dale of Harpers Ferry, WV, two sons, William E. Urquhart of Jackson, MI and Thomas M. Urquhart and wife, Lynn of Dundalk, MD, two grandchildren, Heather and Mark, four great-grandchildren, Logan, Parker, Harrison and Mackenzie, one niece, Jeanie Adams and one nephew, Jonny Mills.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Urquhart, one grandson, Matthew Smythe, one sister, Betty Mills and infant brother, James Curry.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Rev. Dr. Brian Hotaling officiating.

Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Eastpoint, MD.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours prior to services.
