Mary Eileen Wheaton, 79, of Shepherdstown, WV passed away December 26, 2023 at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV.

Born August 28, 1944 in Auburn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Helen Walowsky.

She was a member of The Roman Catholic Parish of St. James the Greater.

Mary graduated as Valedictorian from Central High School in Auburn, NY. She lived for the time she spent with her granddaughters. Family and friends were very important to her. She was an avid Jeopardy fan and loved to get dressed up and go out to eat and have Margaritas.

She is survived by her son, Trevor Wheaton and wife, Sharon of Middleway, four grandchildren, Brianna, Ashlyn, Emma and Lauren, two brothers, David Walowsky and Dennis Walowsky and one sister, Sandra Anderson.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Peter Wheaton in 1985 and one brother, Michael Walowsky.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, December 30, 2023 at St. James Catholic Church, 49 Crosswinds Drive, Charles Town, WV with Father Timothy Grassi as the Celebrant, assisted by Deacon David Galvin.

The family will receive friends an hour and a half before the Mass with a Vigil and Rosary to be held at 9:30 am.
