Matthew Joseph Kornacki, 44, of Charles Town, WV passed away Friday, September 19, 2025 at his residence.

Born December 12, 1980 in Hanover, PA, he was the son of John and Therese Kornacki.

Matthew obtained his Bachelor's degree from Gettysburg College and then obtained his Masters degree from Widener University in Social Work. He spent his entire career helping others. The greatest joy of his life was becoming a father. He was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan. He also loved going to concerts with his wife and would stay up at nights listening to his favorite artists.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Michelle, at home, two sons, Jack and Brooks, one sister, Suzanne Donagher (Scott), three brothers, Michael Kornacki (Christine), Kenneth Kornacki (Gail) and Gregory Kornacki  (Laura), and nieces and nephews, Kathryn, Dimitri, Jacob, Anna, Vincent, Clare, Lucy, Sarah, Nathan, Emily and Karen.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice.
