Melissa Kaye Jackson, 50, of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022.

Born August 9, 1971 in Leesburg, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Lester Walter Sowers and Mary Frances Collyer Sowers.

She was of Christian faith.

Melissa is survived by one daughter, Selena Jackson of Inwood; one son, Storm Jackson of Harpers Ferry; former husband, Willard Jackson, Jr. of Harpers Ferry.; one brother, Steven Sowers; two nieces, Britney and Heather Sowers; two faithful K-9 companions, Charmin and Chloe and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Melissa never met a stranger and always opened her heart and her home to anyone in need. She spent a lot of time volunteering for various organizations and had a special place in her heart for children.

Services will be held Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 6:00pm at Eackle-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV,  With Pastor Jimmie William officiating.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
