Michael Arthur Nichols, Sr., 59, of Bunker Hill, WV passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at City Hospital in Martinsburg, WV.
Born October 6, 1953 in Ranson, WV, he was the son of the late Nelson Taylor Nichols Sr. and Rosalie Alger Nichols.
He was a truck driver for BJ Hauling and Excavating Co., Inc.
Michael was a believer in Jesus Christ. He was a loving and devoted husband and dedicated father and grandfather. He also was a life-time music lover.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara, at home; one daughter, Tiffany Nichols of Shepherdstown, WV; two sons, Michael, Jr. and wife, Kim, of Bunker Hill, WV, and Jonathan Nichols and wife, Tracey of Ranson, WV; two stepdaughters, Jessica and Beth Schmidt, both of Martinsburg, WV; four grandchildren, two sisters, Joyce Cook and husband, David of SC and Shirley Dunn of PA, two brothers, Nick Nichols and wife, Hazel of Ranson, WV, Jim Nichols and wife, Joyce of Uvilla, WV and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, April 8, 2013 at the Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry/Charles Town, WV.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
For the benefit of Michael's co-workers, a visitation will be held Monday evening from 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
