Michelle passed away Monday morning at the age of 56. She fought the ultimate battle with cancer for over 5 years. We lost a beautiful soul on Monday. She not only pledged her life to the kids of Jefferson County, she raised her own. She ran a successful daycare and if you were able to know her, then you already understand the great loss we just experienced. She will always be remembered and never forgotten. We love you, Michelle, forever in our hearts and for the children.

Michelle is survived by her mother, Mary Thorpe and husband, Richard Fox; companion, Scott Bearup; sons, Blake Black, Jeremy Bearup, Christopher Bearup; sister, Kimberly Thorpe; grandson, Chris Bearup; nieces, Sabrina Cruz and Felicia Wickizer; cousins, Mr. & Mrs. Gene Baker and family; Mrs. Melanie Stewart and family; the Coates family, of Taylorstown, VA; and aunts, Pauline Bowers, Carol Coats and family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Danny Thorpe.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., at Grace Baptist Church, 321 Potomac Avenue, Shenandoah Junction, WV 25442. Everyone is welcome for service and repast.
