Norma Jean Costello, 82 of Harpers Ferry, WV passed away peacefully with her family surrounding her on Monday, July 15, 2024 at Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility in Kearneysville, WV.
Born December 8, 1941, in Charlottesville, Va. She was the daughter of the late Rosalie and Kenneth Gibson.
She was of the Baptist Faith.
Norma was a loving mother of one daughter, Peggy Stillions and former husband, Raymond "Junebug" Stillions; two sons, Dean West and fiancé, Debbie Kenny, Aubrey Lee Gibson and fiancé, Charlene Cross. Norma was also a loving grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, she was known by many as the "Chicken Lady" for her fresh brown eggs. She will always be remembered for her smile that would light up the room and her laugh you could hear from miles away. And for always having a heart of gold and lending a helping hand to anyone who needed it.
Also in addition to her three children, she is survived by her loving home companion, Barney the cat; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter and another on the way.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sons, Tommy West and Michael Gibson; Her second husband, Massie Gibson; three sisters, Frances, Jenny and Betty; three brothers, Buster, Son and Bawley; and daughter-in-law, Sandy Gibson.
Services will be private
