Patricia Coffman Kercheval, 94, formerly of Charles Town, WV, passed away June 13, 2022 at Harmony in Morgantown, from complications of stroke.

Pat was born August 19, 1927 in Edinburg, Virginia, and was the daughter of the late Ray and Amelia Coffman.

She was a long-time member of Stone's Chapel Presbyterian Church and later Shepherdstown Presbyterian Church. She belonged to the Charles Town Cotillion Club for many years.

Pat graduated from Edinburg High School and Madison College in Harrisonburg. She married Harvey Kercheval, Jr. in 1949. They raised their sons, Nick and Hoppy, on a dairy farm in Summit Point. Pat was a secretary and later sold real estate, but she most enjoyed her brief time teaching kindergarten.

She is survived by her two sons, Nick and wife, Shari of Harpers Ferry and Hoppy and wife, Karin of Morgantown, along with beloved grandchildren, Lindsey (Matt), Caroline (Renzo) and Ben (Sarah), and great grandsons, Luke and Tristan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey and brother, Ray.

The loss will be felt by her countless friends and the many people whose lives she touched with her kindness, wisdom and inimitable sense of humor.

Pat will be laid to rest in Green Hill Cemetery in Berryville, WV.
