Paul Norris Johnson, 87, of Martinsburg, WV passed away August 24, 2025 at his residence.

Born May 21, 1938 in Chanute, Kansas, he was the son of the late Roy and Mary Elizabeth Foose Johnson.

He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Uvilla.

Paul was a highly decorated career navy veteran with 2 tours in Vietnam. He didn't have much to start with in life but ended it with more success than most due to his hard work and perseverance to succeed at anything he did. The world truly lost a hero that never expected recognition for his accomplishments. He would rather be humble and help others than were less fortunate.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Karen Maxwell Johnson, at home, two sons, Kurt Johnson and wife, Barbara and Mike Johnson, four grandchildren, Tyler, Danielle, Matthew and Wesley, two great grandchildren, Daniel and Azura, one brother, Alan Johnson and wife, Francine and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 29, 2025  at St. James Lutheran Church, 4320 Shepherdstown Pike, Shenandoah Junction, WV 25442 with Reverend Karen Erskine-Valentine officiating.
