Pauline ("Polly") Elizabeth Rowe, 98, of Charles Town, WV died on Friday, August 27th at her residence.

The daughter of the late Mary and Maurice Lillis, Mrs. Rowe was born in Winchester, VA on September 28, 1922. She married her husband, William S. (Buster) Rowe in 1946, and together they lived on dairy farms in Bakerton and then Charles Town, WV until they moved in 1969 to her current residence.

Mrs. Rowe was a wonderful mother and grandmother ("Granny"). She loved to cook for her family and friends, especially making her delicious bread and butter pickles. She devoted her life to taking care of her children and grandchildren. Forty-four years ago, she successfully donated a kidney to her son, Earl Rowe.

Survivors include her children, Charlotte Edwards and husband Sam, Tampa, FL, Earl Rowe and wife Betty Jo, Charles Town, WV, and Teresa Cooper and husband Brad, Inwood, WV; four grandchildren, Jeremy, Travis, and Sarah Cooper, and Christy Rowe; five great grandchildren, Maisie Cooper, Christopher, Erica, and Veronika Royer, and Danita Rose; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, "Buster," and also her son, Thomas Rowe; and her siblings, Mary Ellen Leight, Maurice Lillis, Jr., Evelyn Coulson, John (Sonny) H. Lillis, Barbara Creswell, Patsy Murphy, Joan Hepner, and Dennis Lillis, Sr.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 1st at 11:00 AM at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV. Pastor Robert Gordon will officiate. Interment will follow in Edge Hill Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Those desiring may make donations in lieu of flowers in memory of Pauline Rowe to the National Kidney Foundation or the charity of one's choice.
