Penny Renee Gibson, 63, of Charles Town, WV, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025, at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV.

Born on May 29, 1962, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Jack Miller and Joan Lucille Barber. She was of the Christian Faith.

Penny was loved by many people, and will be deeply missed.

She is survived by one daughter, Misty Morningstar at home; three grandchildren, Mckenzie, Caden, Kayelyn; one sister, Angie Fraley (Curtis); one brother, Jimmy Burkett; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and sister-in-law, Dee Burkett.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her life companion, Ronald Chapman; one brother, Gregory Burkett; one infant brother, Monte Dean Miller; and one nephew, Grayson Burkett.

A Celebration of Life memorial will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday, January 5, 2026 at Abolitionist Ale Works, 129 W. Washington Street, Charles Town, WV.
