Ralph Ernest Mills, 76, of Harpers Ferry, WV passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Jefferson Medical Center in Ranson, WV.
Born October 26, 1938 in Brunswick, MD, he was the son of the late John Lee Mills, Sr. and Anna Kathleen Webb Mills.
He attended Bolivar United Methodist Church.
Ralph was a retired US Navy Veteran serving in Vietnam on the destroyer USS O'Hara. He later retired from PEPCO in Dickerson, MD as a power plant operator.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Laureda, at home; one son, Michael Mills and wife Jody of Bolivar, WV; three grandchildren, Joseph Mills, Jena Mills and Jeanette Burkette of Martinsburg, WV; two sisters, Ann Fahrenkrog of Hagerstown, MD; and Sharon Stewart of Bolivar, WV; special nephew, Parker Webb of Ranson, WV and many other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death one sister, Helen Mills Conklin and three brothers, Charles Thomas Mills, John Lee Mills, Jr., and Larry Richard Mills.
Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Pastor John Unger officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery at a later date.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6-9 pm.
