Raymond Edward Longerbeam, 83, of Shenandoah Junction, WV passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Winchester Medical Center.

Born July 26, 1938  in Charles Town, WV, he was the son of the late Harry Woodrow Longerbeam and Mabel Elizabeth Locke Longerbeam.

He was a veteran of the US Air Force and a member of the Charles Town American Legion, Post # 71.

Raymond was a HVAC mechanic with William H. Metcalfe with over 40 years of service.

Ray was a vintage car enthusiast, a stock car racing fan and an avid wrestling fan.

He is survived by his life partner, Betty Longerbeam, four daughters, Robin Moses and husband, Bill; Stacey Hottle and husband, Leo, Tara Painter and husband Adam and Renee Longerbeam and Patrick, grandchildren, Zachary, Seth, DW, Emilyn and Cace; one sister, Linda Longerbeam; two brothers, Donnie and Larry Longerbeam, daughter-in-law, Clare Hebb and his faithful canine companion, Skye.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Troy Hottle, two sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV. Interment will follow in Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg, WV.

Following the interment, the family invites all to a gathering at the Leetown Community Center for food and fellowship.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 26, from 5-8 pm.
